About the Center

The Islamic Center shall be a non-profit, non-political organization with the aim to encourage and facilitate the local Muslims with observance of Islamic Faith, to enable them with the basic knowledge of Islam, avoid any wrong practices in the name of Islam and create a feeling of brotherhood/sisterhood. The members of the Center will try to contribute individually and collectively towards meeting human needs in conformity with Islamic doctrines and belief.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the ICT is to serve the best interests of Islam and of the Muslims of Tallahassee, Florida. Towards this end, the Center shall:

• Promote unity and joint actions among the Muslims.
• Conduct social, cultural, religious and other activities in the best traditions of Islam.
• Arrange and hold congregational prayers and Islamic religious festivals at appropriate times.
• Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.
• Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims.
